P4 challenge round 1 heat race update

This weekend is the first round of the RACE/VRRA P4 challenge on the long track in shannonville. Friday was a practice day and it gave me a chance to learn the track again after about 16 years. I had some problems with the hawk jetting because of the cool weather so i didnt have a lot of time on it but managed to into the 1:59s . Good thing i had the GSXR 750 on hand to learn the track.

This morning i played with the jetting a little and thank to Sebastien's input i was able to find the right combination. I went out for the 4 lap heat race and got a ok start and had to get a little agressive to get by Stu on the big GSXR, but by the end of lap 1 when i was able to make the pass, the 1st and 2nd place riders were a little ahead. I wasnt able to catch up to them in the next lap and a half so i just put it on cruise control for the last lap and got 3rd. It will be important to get a good start on sunday if i want to stick with Jamie on his EX 500 and have a chance at 2nd place.
